FAQ

Before you ride out

The trend, making your video, packs and payment, and what happens to your photos.

The trend

What is the knight cat AI trend?

A short-video trend where a cat, usually someone’s real pet, appears as a tiny knight in silver armour on a stormy moor and pulls a sword from the mud. It grew out of an AI art series in 2026 and spread in October as people made versions with their own pets. KnightCatAI makes that clip from one photo of your pet.

What app makes the knight cat AI videos on TikTok?

Most are made with an AI image-to-video tool that takes a photo of the pet plus a text prompt, such as Kling or Veo in Gemini, or with a CapCut template; one-photo sites like KnightCatAI write and run the prompt for you. The look comes from the prompt, not the app: a tiny cat in silver armour pulling a giant sword from the mud on a rainy moor. Our full prompt is free on the prompt page.

Does it work with dogs?

Yes. Cats started the trend, but any dog works, from chihuahuas to great danes. It gets the same armour, cape and sword, sized to fit.

How do I make a knight cat meme for Mondays or exams?

Make the video of your pet, then add one line of text on top when you post, such as “me walking into Monday” or “me vs. finals week”. The captions guide has more than 20 caption ideas and the hashtags people use.

Does the video have sound?

Yes. Wind, rain, thunder and the scrape of the sword are mixed in, so it works as is in a story or group chat. On TikTok you can also add a trending sound on top.

Is this the official knight cat?

No. KnightCatAI is an independent fan tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to the creator of the original knight cat series or any platform, and none of their artwork appears in your video. Every video is generated fresh from your own photo.

Making your video

Which photo works best?

A sharp daylight photo of one cat or dog with its face toward the camera, whole body if you have it. No other pets or people in the frame, no flash and no heavy filters. The clearer the coat and face, the more the knight looks like yours.

Why does the AI change my cat’s face or fur?

Usually the photo: a blurry, dark or side-on shot, or a second animal in the frame, leaves the model guessing. Use a sharp daylight photo with the face toward the camera and nothing else in it, and keep “same face, fur colour and markings as the photo” in the prompt. The not-working guide has 11 more fixes.

Can I be in the video with my pet?

Yes. Pick You + your pet, upload a photo of yourself first and then your pet. You become the full-size knight kneeling beside it. It costs the same as a pet-only video. Only use your own photo or one you have permission to use.

Can I post it on TikTok and Reels?

Yes. Videos are 10 seconds in vertical 9:16 with sound by default, made for TikTok, Reels and Shorts. Pick wide 16:9 before you make the video if you want it for YouTube or a TV. Both cost the same.

Standard or HD?

Both use one video from your pack, so it’s only about where you’ll watch it. Standard 480p is sharp on a phone screen; HD 720p holds up better on a laptop or TV.

How long does it take?

About 3 minutes. You can close the tab while it renders: we email you a link when it’s ready.

Do I need to write a prompt?

No. The moor, the armour, the shots and the sound are built in. You upload a photo and press Make my video. If you’re curious, the prompt page shows the prompt we use, free to copy.

Other ways to make it

Can I make a knight cat AI video for free?

Yes, with another tool: copy our full prompt from the prompt page into an AI video tool’s free tier, attach your pet’s photo, and expect a watermark, a shorter clip or a few retries. Here every video is a real render paid from a pack, with no free trial; one video is $5.99, no account needed. The free guide walks through both routes.

What prompt do I use for the knight cat AI trend?

Use an image-to-video prompt written as timed shots: your pet as a tiny knight in silver armour and a crimson cape on a foggy, rainy moor, pulling a giant sword from the mud and raising it as lightning cracks behind it. Our full prompt, with the shots, camera and sound, is free to copy on the prompt page. Attach your pet’s photo as the reference so the face stays the same.

Can ChatGPT, Gemini, Veo or Kling make the knight cat video?

Kling and Veo (in Gemini) can make it from your pet’s photo plus a prompt; ChatGPT is most reliable for the still image of your cat in armour, which you then animate in a video tool. Attach the photo as the reference, paste the prompt from our prompt page, and set 10 seconds and vertical 9:16 where the tool allows. Free tiers usually mean a watermark, a shorter clip or a queue.

Can I do the knight cat AI trend in CapCut?

Yes: search CapCut’s templates for “Knight AI”, “Knight Cat” or “Kitten with sword” and swap in your pet’s photo. Templates come and go and differ by region, and they reuse a fixed animation, so the knight often looks less like your pet. For your own pet in the full storm scene, use an image-to-video tool with our prompt, or upload one photo here.

What’s the cheapest way to make a knight cat AI video?

The cheapest way is free: our prompt in an AI video tool’s free tier, if you can live with a watermark, a queue or a few retries. For a finished video from one photo, 1 video is $5.99, 3 are $12.99 ($4.33 each) and 10 are $29.99 ($3.00 each) here, with no subscription and no account.

Packs and payment

KnightCatAI at tryknightcatai.com takes payment only through Stripe checkout, puts failed videos back in your pack automatically, refunds unused packs within 14 days and answers at support@tryknightcatai.com. It goes back into your pack automatically. Nothing to claim and no one to email. Try again, usually with a clearer photo.

Can I get my money back?

How do I pay?

I paid on another phone. Where are my videos?

Open My videos on the phone you’re holding and tap “Paid on another phone? Send link”. Enter the email you paid with and we send a link that opens your pack and videos there. The link in your ready email works on any device too.

Your photos and privacy

When are my photos deleted?

3 days after your video is ready. Your photos and the video are deleted automatically 72 hours later, so download it before then. The ready email has the download link. Unused videos in your pack never expire.

What happens to my photos?

They’re used only to make your video, and go only to the AI service that renders it. Photos and videos are deleted automatically 3 days after the video is ready. We don’t use them to train AI models.

Can I use a photo of someone else?

Only with their permission, and never of anyone under 18, a celebrity or a public figure. Upload only photos you have the right to use.
