Why the photo matters
The armour, the moor and the storm are the same in every video. The only thing that changes is your pet, and the AI rebuilds it from your photo in every shot. A sharp, well-lit photo is what makes the knight look like yours and not like a stock cat.

Seven tips
1. Face toward the camera
Both eyes visible, head roughly toward the lens. A profile or the back of the head leaves the AI guessing at the face.
2. Daylight, no flash
Soft window light or outdoor shade shows the true coat colour. Flash turns eyes green or white and flattens the fur.
3. One pet, nobody else
Crop out other pets and people. With two animals in the frame the AI may mix their markings or pick the wrong one.
4. Whole body if you have it
A sitting or standing pet gives the AI its size, legs and tail. A close-up of the face still works; the body is filled in from it.
5. Sharp, not zoomed
Use the original photo, not a screenshot or a heavily zoomed crop. Blur and compression are what make whiskers and stripes drift.
6. No filters, no costumes
Skip beauty filters, stickers, hats and sweaters. The armour goes on in the video; anything already on the pet fights with it.
7. Distinctive markings in view
If your pet has a white blaze, odd eyes or a notched ear, pick a photo that shows it. Those are the details people recognise first.
If you’re in it too
For You + your pet, your own photo follows the same rules: face clear and toward the camera, good light, just you. Full or half body works best. Use your own photo, or one you have permission to use. More in the You + your pet guide.
What not to upload
- Photos of people who haven’t agreed to it, or of anyone under 18.
- Celebrities, public figures or someone else’s artwork.
- Anything you don’t have the right to use.
Your photos are used only to make your video and are deleted 3 days after it’s ready. See the privacy policy.
Questions
Can I use a photo of a kitten or puppy?
Yes. Any age works. Young pets often look best because the sword is even bigger next to them.
My pet is black. Will it work?
Yes, as long as the photo is bright enough to show the eyes and the shape of the face. Daylight helps most with dark coats.
Can I retry with a different photo?
Yes. Each video uses one from your pack, so you can make another with a better photo. A render that fails goes back into your pack automatically.
